Dhairyendranarayana

On Devendranarayana’s death, his cousin Dhairyendranarayana, son of Khagendranarayana, the second Dewandeo, was made king. The Bhutanese influence over Coochbehar continued during the reign of Dhairyendranarayana. During the course of his region, the latter incurred displeasure of the Bhutanese, and in 1770 he was deposed and taken as a prisoner to Punakha in Bhutan.
